Equine & Dog Portrait Commissions

Natural, emotive portrait experiences designed to become timeless artwork for your home.

Each commission is carefully created around your horse or dog in a relaxed outdoor setting, capturing character, connection and quiet moments that feel honest and enduring.

These are not rushed photoshoots or standard sessions, they are commissioned portrait experiences, created with intention from start to finish. There’s no pressure and no awkward posing, just gentle direction when needed and space for real moments to unfold.

The Signature Portrait Experience — £495

£195 – Portrait Commission

Every artwork begins with a portrait commission.

This secures your place in my diary and confirms your dedicated portrait experience. It includes the creative time, planning and photography required to create a thoughtful, natural body of work with your horse or dog.

Your session takes place in a relaxed outdoor setting, guided gently throughout. There is no pressure for perfect behaviour or posed moments instead, the focus is on movement, character and connection.

This is a calm, unhurried experience designed to create meaningful, artwork-led images for your home.

What’s included in your commission:

  • A relaxed, fully guided portrait experience with your horse, dog, or rural lifestyle

  • A natural, unhurried approach so animals can behave and interact freely

  • A carefully planned session at a location suited to your horse or dog (within 50 miles of Swadlincote DE11)

  • Time, creative direction, and preparation for your bespoke portrait experience

  • A private viewing and design appointment where your images are revealed for the first time

Please note:

Your commission does not include printed artwork or digital files. These are chosen separately during your private viewing and design appointment. The full fee is payable at the time of booking.

Your artwork

Your experience is created with printed artwork in mind.

At your viewing appointment, you’ll choose how you’d like to enjoy your images. Most clients invest in:

  • Framed wall art

  • Statement pieces for the home

  • Small collections of printed photographs

Everything is carefully crafted to feel timeless, natural, and beautifully finished, made to be lived with, not just viewed.

After your session

A few weeks after your photoshoot, you’ll be invited to your private viewing appointment.

This is where your images are revealed for the first time, and you’ll be guided through selecting your favourite photographs and deciding how you’d like to display them.

Most clients choose to invest between £500 and £2000 in their finished artwork, depending on the pieces selected.

A note on availability

This experience is intentionally limited so each client receives a personal, unhurried service and carefully curated artwork.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • No, your artwork is designed after your session during your private viewing appointment once you can see your images.

  • That’s completely fine and expected. Some of the most meaningful images come from natural, unplanned moments.

  • You’ll be invited to a private viewing where your images are revealed and your artwork is carefully designed with you.

  • Most clients invest between £500 and £2000 in their finished artwork. There is no minimum spend, but this range reflects the typical investment in wall art and collections.

  • Yes. I am happy to travel throughout the UK for portrait commissions.

    Your commission includes travel within a 50-mile radius of Swadlincote (DE11) covering most local equine and rural locations.

    For commissions further afield (over 2 hours drive from my location), a travel fee of £150 is applied to cover additional time and travel costs. This is confirmed at the time of booking so everything is clear and agreed in advance.

    I regularly work across the Midlands and am very happy to travel for the right commission and location.
